It’s impossible to accurately predict the future development of a young puppy, environment plays a key role. We guarantee only that this puppy, at the time of sale, is capable of being a good companion & is in good health with no signs of congenital health defects. We do guarantee (for a period of one year from the time of BIRTH) this puppy to be a functionally sound animal able to perform as a pet & companion. If there is any question the puppy must have an OFA PRELIM or an OFA CARDIALGIST clearance done at or before one year of age, depending on the problem.
In the event of a diagnosed CONGENITAL DEFECT or CRIPPLING HIP DYSPLASIA, with the severity in either case of the puppy needing to be “put down”, GREATBASIN NEWFS reserves the right to a second opinion by a Veterinarian of our choice, & at our expense. Should there be a disagreement on the prognosis on the puppy, we reserve the right to secure a third Veterinarian’s opinion, at our expense, to make the final determination. In the event you have any questions, please call before any decision is made as to the final dispensation of the puppy. As we reserve the right to place the puppy or keep the puppy in the event he/she is found to have any of the aforementioned problems. Should the puppy be “put down” or any other final action is taken without our knowledge or agreement, this guarantee is null & void, & no Replacement or Monies will be owed to the BUYER. If it is determined that a replacement is owed for the aforementioned reasons we will replace the pup at our earliest convenience. There is no refund of MONIES. If a replacement puppy is being given to the BUYER there is NO GUARANTEE. THE HEALTH GUARANTEE is only valid with THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER & ORIGINAL PUPPY. Unless otherwise cleared with the breeder. If a pup is raised on cement (as in a garage for a dog house) or has access to stairs or steep inclines on a daily basis. The Health Guarantee for hips & Elbows will be void. If a pup is allowed to be around larger dogs unsupervised it could void the contract because of potential injury to their joints. If a female is bred before her second heat, this will void the contract. If the pup is spayed or neutered before or at 18 MONTHS of age this will void the contract. We will include papers in our puppy packets that explain why we have this in here. There are some things that you as a responsible puppy owner should do & they are as follows.
The FIRST & FOREMOST IS WITHIN 48 hours of picking up your puppy, please take them in to see your Vet. for a well puppy visit, to confirm our Vet’s clearance. IF THIS IS NOT DONE, & there is a problem that comes up, it will null & void the HEALTH GUARANTEE. So Please!! PLEASE!!! MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT FOR YOUR PUPPY PRIOR TO BRINGING YOUR PUPPY HOME!! It not only protects you & your puppy, but also protects us in the advent of an unforeseen problem.
We feed our puppies Eukanuba, & have for over 10 years, & all of our Newfs have done very well on it. But we do understand that families may have a different idea on what they want to feed their puppies, & this is OK with us. But it has to be a high end dog food & recommended by a Vet. NOT LIKE OLD ROY, as this could null & void the HEALTH GUARANTEE.
No puppy is to be sold to a pet store or anyone, given away or bartered, without our Knowledge. We are to be contacted with any & all information of a new owner, name & phone number, so that we can talk with them first & approve of the new home. If we don’t agree with the new home, we reserve the right to say no, & to help in rehoming the puppy. We ask this because we do care about where our puppies are. We have an obligation to the dogs, ourselves, & to dog rescue, whenever a dog is lost. That is one reason that we Micro Chip our puppies before they go to their new homes. We are usually notified of a dog, of ours, being picked up by the pound. We have been notified a couple of times by the dog pound, when a Newfie had been picked up & we have had to call & try to find the owners. We ask for your Vets name & phone number so that if there is a problem, our Vet can converse with your Vet about any problem & try to resolve any issues.
Also I need to add that Deposits are Nonrefundable, unless agreed to.
